"But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness." Romans 6:17-18
Let’s face it: the world that we live in is messed up. Everywhere you turn there is one temptation after another begging you to give in and sin against the Holy God. Again and again you give into the pleasures of sin. It controls you. But the pleasure of sin isn’t the only thing that enslaves you. So does fear. And confusion. The future is uncertain. Sin seems to be greater than living for God. Is there freedom? Yes! Through Jesus Christ. He cuts chains and breaks bonds. He declares, “YOU ARE FREE!” Walk in victory. Walk in hope for whom the Son sets free is free indeed! Be set free!
